Testimonies:After years of meditation practice, I enjoyed a much quieter mind. However, there still seemed to be something missing…and this is where Daniel has been a real help. In his warm, wise and ‘down to earth’ way, Daniel has helped me in terms of shifting the emphasis and attention from a ‘personal-awareness’ to the ‘impersonal presence-awareness’ itself. This revelation has been key for me in living and trusting the ever-new ‘knowing-presence’ more, and indulging the ‘known mind-stuff’ of the past less and less.So many spiritual concepts and platitudes that were once only comforting on an intellectual level, i.e. “It’s closer than your next thought” and “It’s all consciousness” are now much more real for me. The opportunity to share satsang with Daniel is a true blessing. In gratitude,Tim, Santa Cruz, CAFor the seeker who goes through the familiar mind-battle of: "I had this peaceful awareness, but then I lost it", Daniel gently and persistently points out the root of the problem -- the deeply ingrained habit of believing my true self to be this false, separate 'I'. “Who or what is this ‘I’? Can you find it?” His consistent pointers bring clarification to see through this tricky illusion. Because of Daniel's clarifications, the space or distance between who or what I actually am, and the thoughts, feelings and sensations of the body/mind is getting clearer, deeper and wider. As a result, there is a strange mixture of peace, relaxation, excitement and enthusiasm. I give Daniel so much of the credit to the ‘clearer seeing’ of the ultimate truth of what I really am, and thus the sense of deep harmony that naturally arises from that ‘clear seeing’.-- Eric Christopher, St. Paul, MNIt has been my good fortune to benefit through Satsang, both formaland informal, with Daniel Sannel, and I'm grateful for it. It's a compliment to him when I say, "There is less to Dan than meets the eye." He's helped me understand there is less to me, too, and he can do the same for you. Jon Engstrom, St. Paul, MN |
